Hey, these things work! I used to be a barista and cleaning my coffee grinder wasn't a fun job. We used some kind of spray that seemed risky. They absorb oil and can then be wiped clean with a damp cloth. You have to sacrifice some beans before all the greens are processed. I skipped a few crappy beans at first until I saw all the white bits were gone. I'd say it costs about two double espressos.
