If you leave the mirror on all the time, you can turn it off with the button and it will save the brightness/color/defog settings. You plug this crazy thing into the wall as all the product images show and unplug it according to the instructions. The mirror resets every time you turn off the light. It's ok if you've always wanted it to be 100% amber with defog enabled. But if you think you can get a whiter light, make it a little dimmer, or not turn on the anti-fog and plug this thing into a wall switch, THINK AGAIN. Like everything else at Revain these days, this is cheap crap where you don't give a damn about how it's actually going to be used by the consumer. They go 99% of the way to a decent product, but the 1% they miss makes the product a worthless piece of junk. The seller will pester you with their feedback daily and offer you a refund.
