Review on Derby Originals Waterproof Breathable Insulated Dogs in Apparel & Accessories by Kimberly Johnson

After much searching (and measuring) I bought this coat for my large coonhound mix. I was looking for a versatile product that could provide both warmth and rain/snow protection. He's tall and broad-chested but has a long back and a fairly skinny neck, weighs 55 pounds, and isn't easily outdone. The derby coat is easy to slip on - simply slip the adjustable neckline over your head and loop the velcro around the chest. So far the dog doesn't seem to mind carrying it while we go for a walk. The only problem is that like the blanket it's modeled on, it sits quite roomy on the neck and offers no head or neck protection. (Probably why my dog doesn't mind). I bought a large one and as you can see in the photo any larger size would start to sag at the back. Nicely designed and holding up well, very satisfied so far.
