Could be improved

I've had it for a few days now and I was concerned the suction part would melt due to 100+ degree weather. The plastic intake pipe (is it plastic?) seems to be able to withstand high temperatures. The heat seems to have affected the part where the phone is attached, causing the rotating part to come loose. When I decided to put my phone on the mount, it fell off immediately because the hinge was loose. Note that when you remove this bracket, there appears to be adhesive residue on it. This adhesive can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. I'm not sure what the long term effects the mount will have on the dash or windshield. If you have a hard stroke, you may not have suction or sticking issues. If you have a leather or upholstered dashboard, consider placing it elsewhere. I have an LG G4 with a Verge case on my phone and it seems to hold the phone in landscape mode with the plate in the case. During the ride I have to adjust the phone several times as it rotates slowly due to bumps. I believe that using a stronger magnet will prevent this from happening on any phone when the plate is in use. The mount comes with a round plate to attach to the case, but I prefer not to use it. Also note that if you use this behind the G4's battery cover, the cover doesn't close completely on one side, but the gap is barely noticeable. The same goes for the Verge case, there is a gap on one side of the case, but it's very minimal. Overall, the Mengo mount is nice to have, but as with any mount, there are downsides that need to be ironed out. In this case, they are magnets and possibly a plate enhancement. If you have an iPhone I would suggest only using it with a case as you cannot fit the plate into your iPhone. The only real option for caseless iPhone users is to use the included magic wand on the plate, but you'll be sacrificing the look and feel of your iPhone. I've deducted a star due to the magnets and hope this gets fixed in the future, especially for heavier and bulkier phones.
