I bought a sofa cover and matching footstool cover to update my old faux leather furniture. The faux leather on my old couch was peeling off and looking awful. The slipcovers really improved the look of the entire room. But there is a caveat: once stretched over furniture, these covers are actually a bit flimsy. So if you cover a dark piece of furniture with a light varnish, like we did, you can see through the varnish a bit. So I put a paternal cover on it and it worked. Just a word of warning. If I had to do it all over again I would probably choose a darker case.
