Great but with some sloppy programming

I've been using Dragon Medical 10 with Power Mic II for 9 years and upgraded to DMPE 4 and Power Mic III when we went from Windows 7 to Windows 10 where the earlier combo worked badly. The EMPs I use are not compatible with all Dragon features, so I dictate into the dictation box and move it to the appropriate box in the EMP. What's good: 1. Transcription accuracy is much better, ready to use, no training needed. This is obviously a huge deal.2. The hidden mode for the dictation box is a huge improvement. It used to disappear as soon as you clicked outside the dictation window and you had to wrap the text. In stealth mode, you can navigate the EMR and collect data to insert into your note, then transfer it when you're done. Huge again. Frustrating annoyances: Commands executed by pressing buttons on the Power Mic don't work properly in the Dictation Box and are different in Word's Dictation Box. I often use variable field templates (formerly known as Dragon templates). Next Field/Previous Field should take you through variable fields, which is what they do in Word, but in the Dictation Box they just take you to the buttons at the bottom of the field. In a dictation window, you must use Tab Forward/Tab Backward to navigate through fields. Although there are commands in options, you cannot program a button to pass text (ie move text to the cursor in the document) or accept defaults (to accept the default language in the template). You can give these commands verbally over the mic and they will work, but you can't program a button for them (which was the case in the old version). None of this breaks the program, but it's very annoying when you learn how to use it. Power Mic III is manufactured by Nuance and integrated into the software; These things should work perfectly. Overall, though, this is a big improvement over the old program.
