My nearly 2.5 year old weighs 40 pounds, has a 23 inch waist and is short on space. He's pretty solid - mostly wears 4t clothes. They're definitely thicker than regular underwear, if he pees in them, it's going to be a mess. I hope that soon he will be fully potty trained, potty trained regularly and using underwear more than diapers. He gets special treats (sweets) when he goes potty. In the morning he is dry and only urinates in diapers.
