Easy to install, very efficient cooling and you get 2 for a very good price!

PRO/CON bottom When I got my new 512GB Silicon Power NVME and formatted it, the first thing I did was run a read/write speed test using Crystal Mark. This is my first M.2 SSD and I was shocked to see the temperature climb to 67C in just a few seconds. I know they like to get a little warm, but I could only imagine the temperatures they can reach when doing something that requires a little more work than just a quick speed test. So I figured a heatsink would be a good idea and came across this one (yes there are 2). I really only needed one, but I also had an Optane stick installed and figured I could use another to hide the blue circuit board. Anyway, I ran the same test at the same ambient temperature and the NVME only got to 33C! They definitely work as intended and come with everything you need to install them. There were 4 decent quality thermal pads (2 thicker standard for each heatsink, one thinner for the bottom of the one with the backplate and one with precut squares in case you only want to put pads on specific chips like the controller. ), as well as cleaning wipes, mini screwdriver and screws. Installation was easy (although NO instructions or pictures are included), use cleaning wipes to ensure there is no grease or heat residue on the surface, remove the adhesive from the thermal pads and stick them to the sinks (they aren't too sticky). so you can easily remove them ), then the larger halves are simply pushed together and tightened with screws, and the smaller one holds the pressure on the M.2 with high-quality silicone straps and then simply mounts it on the mobile device as usual . ADVANTAGES: - They look like high quality aluminum and their finish is nice - they don't take up much space. Anything if you are afraid of tight spaces - thermal pads f The eel is of good quality and has not been dried. They contain all the necessary parts for their installation. Pretty easy installation. They cool surprisingly well! Luckily they're still easy to install, just remember that the thinnest gasket is at the bottom of the two-piece heatsink - the finishing of the visible area is good, but there were scratches and small nicks on the side that contacts the gaskets. It's ok since it's not visible and doesn't affect anything, but I just wanted to show it. The heatsink that uses silicone strips doesn't quite fit the entire length of the SSD, it still covers everything. necessary parts but I want them to reach the end of the drive with a small notch for the screw, like a larger sink. There is one more blue circuit board. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a cheap and efficient cooling solution for their M.2 drives!
