I got this because I got tired of cleaning my windshields with Windex, paper towels or rags every time I thought they were clean and then a few while driving to see streaks in the sun. .on this unit I remove the microfiber pad and dampen it with warm water and a drop of Dawn dish soap. then I wash the window. I rinse off the mat and repeat, then wipe the windshield with a towel. Works perfectly! The only thing I have is that I wish the telescoping handle was stronger. Sometimes when I use the device, the handle retracts. Also, the device is mostly plastic - if it were all metal, it would be stronger.
