This filter is very well made and, depending on the vehicle model, will easily pay for itself after two regular air intake filter changes. This was recommended to me by a mechanic who works with jet engines and can fix almost anything. It was determined. While I don't notice any particular increase in performance, I'm glad to know that my air intake is protected and I don't have to spend half the price on a disposable cardboard filter every year. A NOTICE. A: I've read other reviews complaining about the filter being "wet". This is by design, it is an oil filter that improves particle collection while protecting the filter. Cleaning kits are available which contain oil that should be reapplied after cleaning at 50,000 mile intervals. I wish people would read the guide and understand what they are buying before leaving a review. Especially with a filter with a higher entry price.
