Review on Tripp Lite TLP1208SAT Surge Protector Power Strip: 12 Outlets, 8ft Cord, RJ11/RJ45/Coax/Ethernet Protection, $250K Insurance - Black by Keith Howe

I ordered this because of the good reviews and more importantly because the company seems to stand by their warranty (compare Tripp Lite comments with equivalent Belkin surge protectors). The item appears to be well made and still works as advertised (although we didn't experience any outages/power surges caused by the storm so it's hard to tell at this point). Note, however, that it's not really possible to connect 12 cables with this, as the 8 sockets are so close together that even standard TWO-prong connectors will not fit into adjacent sockets, let alone the larger 3-prong connectors . Plugs - don't even think of pluggable transformer plugs. The problem would be solved if the extension cord was just a few inches longer and the outlets were a little further apart; hopefully TL can add this to a future model.
