For the price I think you get a bargain as it makes waffles. But after a few uses, I found the finished product to be thin and unevenly baked/brown. I found it took about 5 minutes to get what you see in the attached photo - and it was all cooked. The main electrical element obviously doesn't spread much over the surface of the baked goods, giving uneven coloring - IMO. If you want thick and evenly browned waffles, I recommend you consider a higher-end appliance.
