Reviews. Everyone said coconut oil leaves a weird residue. Instead, I substituted olive oil. We did a few dry runs; here are the results: • Batch 1, Olive Oil with Color, Essential Oil, Mica Powder: Pro; The skin came out so soft, the instructions and setup are easy. (Hint: COMPRESS the shape LIGHTLY. My husband and I did this side by side. His shapes kept falling because he was trying to shake things up) Cons; The mica powder leaves a lasting shine and the aromatic oils it contains do not give off any odor. • Package 2, Almond Oil Extract, Third-Party Essential Oils, and Food Coloring: The Pros; The lighter colors, again the easy to follow directions and easy to choose creative ingredients, you could actually smell these oils. Cons: The almond oil wasn't as pleasant as the olive oil. Oils and dyes: pluses; No stain/bath film, soft skin, vibrant color, easy instructions, fast mold setting, super bubbly results, smells amazing! minuses; no • Conclusion: If you experiment and study with bath bombs. It is so easy! For a certain price, you can purchase other items to customize your bombs. If you are ok with glitter. I suggest using equal amounts of the recommended coconut oil and olive oil along with the flavorings. 100% do NOT regret this purchase. I regret other purchases made during testing. This isn't one of them! We mainly used half molds because we were experimenting with other types of molds and what came with the kit was as easy to use as possible for quick testing. The photos reflect what I thought was the best batch. (Except white, does not reflect colors that match)
