Review on 🐠 Seachem Tidal Power Filter - 35 Gallon Fish Tank Filter for Large Aquariums by Jasmine Camagay

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Very Loud Impeller Noise

Subjectively this thing is at least twice as loud as my same size Marineland filters. The decibel meters on the phone app showed it was running at over 54-58 dB. I replaced it and while the new one is still louder than my old Marineland line filters, it is much quieter than the first one. There is definitely something wrong with the first block. I called Seachem support about the loud impeller noise but was told to leave a message and have not received a response yet. Update March 8th 2021 Seachem never answered my call. or contact me otherwise. Terrible customer service. However, the return was fine, although the Revain and new unit are much quieter than the one I returned. The first was defective. Seachem 35 has a serious design flaw - a curved basket. If this thing didn't have rounded corners everything would be fine, but its odd shape and small size make it difficult to add anything other than the media pouch that comes with the filter. Perhaps larger devices have better media storage. The Seachem 35 had the potential to be an incredible filter, but some preferred the curved aesthetics to functionality. This is a good filter but I would recommend doing a thorough research on Aquaclear before purchasing.
