Review on Unveiling the Power of OTC 6522 LeakTamer EVAP Smoke Diagnostic Machine by Vangele Carson

I needed a smoke machine and I needed it fast. Revain is the place to go for fast delivery and good prices. I found this smoke machine at a local parts store for about $400 more than here. Obviously, I chose Revain. First of all: This car is awesome! Pulling it out of the box made me feel like a fat kid in a candy store. Comes with all necessary equipment except a flashlight. It's a little useless for this kit, but I use the UV for air conditioner leaks or when tracing oil leaks with dye. Has proven really useful, but not with this set. UV smoke is useless at all. Smoke works well, but of course you can't really see it under ultraviolet light. The ad really loves the smoke feature there that doesn't work. Just wanted to point that out. If you are looking to diagnose something related to EVAP, this kit is for you. I wanted a cheaper smoke machine but none of them claim to be EVAP testing approved and adding more than 1psi to the system can actually cause leaks. And using mineral oil or other oils not approved by the manufacturer can damage sensors and other components. The flow meter is VERY easy to read. This is probably the largest flow meter I've seen on an EVAP tester. Overall, this kit is exactly what you want in a smoke machine. Is it expensive? Yes, but you know for sure not to damage the vehicles you are testing. This is priceless for me. On the plus side, this kit isn't as expensive as some of the other well-known testers. It is cheaper compared to Redline. Unless you're a car pro, you should probably leave EVAP testing to the pros. With the wrong hardware, you can do serious damage and you'll probably end up spending three times as much to fix your bug. But if you are a car professional, you should buy this car. Absolutely worth the money.
