And if we talk in a simple way, then about super strong double-sided tape. Double-sided tape has long entered our lives and there are situations that without it there is simply no way. I needed to upgrade the Pro-Biker SPEED motoboots, as they turned out to be extremely soft and when you switch gears on the IRBIS TTR 125, it hurt. Therefore, thanks to not cunning manipulations, we decided to make this part of the boot tough. We dismantled the old mountain boots and the heel had to be attached to the boot on one side, there was a fastener with a bolt, but on the other hand it was not clear how to attach it. Therefore, it was decided to attach the plastic to the boot with double-sided tape. We didn’t just go and buy the first double-sided tape we came across, we searched the Internet for reviews, chose the most reliable one, which guaranteed success. Then we asked the sellers in the hardware store and told what to attach to what, we were told that this was the best Scotch mounting adhesive tape. Moreover, I know the Scotch trademark and have always been pleased with their products, so I bought mounting adhesive tape. This is what a Scotch double-sided tape package looks like. This skein is only 1 meter. Although at the bottom there is a number and the letter "3M". I naively thought that it was 3 meters long, but in fact the Scotch 3M trademark is the full name of the company, not the number of tape in a skein. For one meter of double-sided tape, we paid 220 rubles. The other side of the packaging of double-sided tape, where detailed instructions are written in Russian. And it is also written that this mounting tape can see rivets, welding and liquid glue, which is designed for any application and any surface. The first problem with the tape turned out to be in the package, the dotted line along which the package should be easily opened turned out to be useless. This photo shows my useless attempts to open the package without scissors. Then I had to use them. That's what the tape is made in Germany, and packed in Russia. It looks like an ordinary double-sided tape. Only thick. And here is our boot and what needed to be fastened with adhesive tape. This plate had to be attached to the boot and there was no need for a strong grip, so long as the plate did not bulge. The boot and plastic were processed according to the instructions, degreased. First they glued one side, then peeled off the second paper from the second side of the double-sided tape and pressed it under the press The tape itself is transparent and dense. This happened after the press seemed to attach one part to another. But to my great regret, it did not last very long, after 10 minutes - our idea turned out to be unsuccessful and we had to look for another option without the help of Scotch 3M double-sided tape. But then I decided that our task was simply very difficult and attached a small wooden light frame to a wooden surface on this double-sided tape. But she flew off after a while. So sit and think, whether this is such a product of poor quality, or a fake has come across. However, I do not recommend this company. Since with normal work, another tape always did a good job.
