First of all, it is a defogger fan, not an air conditioner, and I knew that in advance, so my expectations were not so high. I used to have a manual fan. It was convenient, but I wanted something more, which led me to this "portable air conditioner". Let's face it, the thing doesn't cool the room. It's like a hot day when you splash some water on your face then lie down and feel the breeze from your regular fan, it's really nice. At least for a minute or two, until the water dries. This is where the defog fan comes into play. It runs for hours and creates fog before you need to refill it. Also, it's mostly meant for one person, and that person has to be within 6 inches or less of the foggers to actually notice it.
