This product is very well made and ready to use. No drivers need to be installed. With the SSD docked, I consistently achieved read/write speeds of over 550 MB/s. I was so happy. The speed of the SSD docking station was almost on par with a direct SATA connection. I used USB 3.2 (Gen 2) ports on my PC. The traditional hard drives I tried were slower whether connected directly or through a docking station, which I expected. This was my first experience with a docking station and I contacted tech support with a few questions. The technical support was the best I've ever received from a technology company. The dock works with both HDD and SSD drives. If you switch drives frequently, I think this dock is a must have. I've read that the data and power connectors on drives are not designed for frequent plugging and unplugging of cables. Doc solves that problem, not to mention how easy and convenient it is to use.
