Review on ZULU Atlas Glass Water Bottle Review: 20 oz Teal Bottle with Silicone Sleeve by Martin Alvarez

No plastic gets into my water.

My acupuncturist told me that even BPA-free plastic doesn't work for me - she doesn't want plastic coming into contact with liquids I eat because only BPA is banned - Ah, but since there are many other nasty, harmful chemicals that get into your food or drink from plastic. So I did a thorough research and there aren't many glass water bottles that don't actually touch the water with plastic - many have plastic liners in the lid. This one has a metal inlay in the plastic lid, but the plastic is only on the outside. The only other one I've found that comes with a silicone cap and is thin enough to fit in all of my water bottle holders is this one and the little one, my Purif. You'll love the one-handed lock and unlock functionality. This is the only glass water bottle I take to the gym. But I would like borosilicate glass so it can withstand hot tea and water and then there would be more confidence in the strength of the whole. (But I have a PurifYou bottle for that, which is borosilicate glass but doesn't have the handy pop-up cap — you have to unscrew it, which is awkward when you're exercising.) It's easy to clean, but the silicone coating is something difficult to remove and reattach. So I only take it off every now and then - the rest of the time I just clean the inside and try not to get too much water under the silicone case. absolutely no plastic touching your water, this is one of your few options. I plan to get more.
