Prevents garden hoses from bursting

So far this regulator has given me everything I could have hoped for; It's well made, durable, easy to assemble and built to last. I bought these for use with outdoor faucets at home because repeatedly, but accidentally, standard garden hoses broke the full length of the hoses. Although these hoses were not of the highest quality, after replacing a couple of old hoses with new ones and they broke too, I stepped back to look at a problem that had actually existed for four years. Live here. It's likely that my problem is related to the high water pressure in the faucets, which turned out to be around 90psi when I checked. (Apparently the high pressure is because I live in a hilly area and my house is about 1/3 of the way up the hill and I have neighbors on the same waterline at the top of the hill.) So far after six weeks of irregular use I'm happy to tell you that I haven't had another ruptured hose. Although I haven't directly compared the practical effects of reducing water pressure, such as: B. how far I can inject my dog, the difference does not seem to be noticeable. Outdoor watering peaks in August, so I'll update this review at that time. In the meantime I'm tempted to buy another one of those stretchy garden hoses. I used to try one of these products at 90psi but it popped on the second or third use.
