My 8th grader installed it for me because he's taller than me and it was pretty easy. But the material is also very cheap, although it "looks good". I think it might be plastic. I was afraid my boy would break it if he tightened it. It leaks a lot more water than my old regular shower so does the job I was hoping for when I ordered it. really good description. It was more like shiny aluminum. I also bought a piece for a second shower head (my bathroom has 2 showers) which is also "brushed nickel" and looks a bit more realistic. Although not quite. So even though they are from the same manufacturer/seller/ and have the same "color" they are not really the same. I think I got what I paid for. I have kept my old showerheads and will be returning them before I sell my house in the future because they are much better quality despite the smaller size. But they do their job and for the moment I'm satisfied.
