This light comes with a dimmer, except at the highest settings it buzzes loud enough to be distracting, at the highest settings it buzzes enough to be noticeable. I cut out a dimmer and hardwired it to a switch that eliminated the hum. The mounting bracket needed some adjustment to close the gap between the light and the mounting fixture; if you don't have this know-how, you will be disappointed by the cleanliness of the setup. The brightness is just right, it's quite hot but not hot enough to burn you.
