I used to have a (slightly cheaper) AT&T cordless phone with an additional cordless handset and used the free nomorobo app to combat the bot calls that I used to get 10 a day. I always have at least one fully-charged handset with me, which is very handy because, strangely enough, there is no phone jack in my living room or bedroom. I figured if the power went out I could use my cell phone; However, I recently had a long power outage and my cell phone battery was dead. First, let me say how grateful I am to the creator of the Nomorobo. It rejected the vast majority of unwanted calls. My new phone has a call blocker that automatically redirects robocalls and gives you the option to add additional numbers you want to block. Receive a call you don't need and you can block it for the future either during or after the call. Numbers stored in your phone book or not blacklisted will call. You can also create a list of names of organizations calling robots you want to receive, e.g. B. Your doctor's office, school, etc. For other calls - no number, "private", "out of range" - you have several choices... how they should be handled. There are other features too. Both the wired and cordless handsets have good, clear sound, large buttons and screens, and are very easy to set up. My only minor gripe, as with my previous phone compared to the previous one, is that with a large display, while nice and visible, you don't have a lot of space to enter information from the catalogue. I like having a first and last name and if it's a cell phone, and often there just isn't room for everything.
