The G Story portable gaming monitor is a very smart option for a variety of applications. The supplied cables can be used for all common monitor purposes. The included remote control makes it much easier to use than other portable gaming monitors that often force you to use small buttons or a selector switch on the side. This monitor also has side controls in case you lose the remote control or need new batteries during use. The video quality is pretty good; however, it is 1080p (1920 x 1080) and the monitor supports 60 frames per second. The monitor has built-in speakers, but the speaker volume is quite low. I don't use audio on this monitor, but there is a standard 3.5mm headphone jack that can be used. My main use case for this monitor is a small touchscreen on the side where I can display user applications. It is important to note that if you are only connected via HDMI and USB for power, you will not be able to use the monitor in this way. To do this, you need to use a USB Type-C connection with your computer. Many modern laptops have these ports. The instructions also state that the monitor is suitable for phones with USB-C and TV-out port; However, I could not test this function. The second main use of this laptop is as a gaming monitor and I was able to connect the monitor to my Nintendo Switch with no problem. One USB-C cable was used from the switch to the appropriate port on the monitor and the other to the included DC adapter. The touch function does not work when the monitor is connected to the Nintendo Switch as described in the manual. The video quality is very good with no screen tearing, ghosting, shaking or anything else that might affect other portable devices. supervised. The screen is bright and well adjusted. The remote control and screen options are easy to use. The magnetic cover/stand supports the monitor well. Some covers have a crease down the middle, but not this one. This actually makes the stand more durable; However, if you don't have anything behind the monitor, it can only be placed in a vertical position before it starts to slide. I would feel uncomfortable just leaving the monitor on a stand with nothing supporting it. Please note that the monitor itself has two small rubber feet on the bottom to prevent sliding, but the case/stand does not. There are two very small screws in the box to attach the monitor. I personally prefer the built-in kickstand, but the lid and kickstand combo works too. All in all, this is a very well built portable monitor.
