Review on G-STORY W56TB: Portable FreeSync Touchscreen with Speakers, 15.6" IPS Display, 1920X1080P, 60Hz by Bryan Harper

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Clear picture: my rating

This is a portable touch screen monitor. The external dimensions are 14.5 x 8.75 inches. The screen diagonal is 13.5 x 7.5 inches. The screen is powered via USB C, either from a computer or via an external USB C power cable. You can connect it to various devices with the included cables such as USB C, HDMI, USB A, USB Micro. The monitor has built-in speakers with volume controls on the side and a 3.5mm audio jack for connecting headphones or an external speaker. There are no wireless connections or batteries, so the screen must be powered by a wired connection to the computer or a direct power cable. The screen has touchscreen capabilities for both Windows and Android devices. Also included is a screen cover/stand and remote control. The remote control is powered by a CR2032 battery (included). I find the image on this screen to be quite sharp and bright. The screen has a long form factor suitable for video devices and devices with a 16:9 aspect ratio. When I use it to display my Windows Surface laptop's content, the image is displayed on a 11.5" x 7.25" monitor, centered on the monitor screen, which is slightly smaller than the native 12 .25" x 8.25" display of the monitor. 15 inch surface. Although the monitor is slightly larger than the Surface, its display is actually smaller. However, the image is fairly sharp and the touchscreen interface works (although I found I had to tap the links twice rather than once). The remote control is quite finicky and slow. I hope I don't need it. Whatever the case, the monitor is pretty much ready to go - plug it into the monitor, turn it on, and the image will appear automatically. This would be most useful for devices that don't have built-in monitors, like slot machines, or devices with small monitors, like mini laptops or phones. What disappointed me the most was the case/stand. I fought with him for 15 minutes, studied the instructions, studied the photos and videos of the product and for all my life I still can't get it to work. So I have to support the monitor with books as it won't stand on its own. All in all, this is a very functional portable monitor and fairly easy to use.
