Simple plug and play.
Much easier to install than a hardwired kit. The only downside is that if you need the OBD port for something, it has to be disabled. The cable is long enough for a mid-size SUV (Subaru Ascent) and there is an adhesive pad on the block to keep it out of the way. If you have a small car, you may need to "fish" the cable under the dashboard, the device must not get past the pillar.
