I have purchased this item more than once, several times from Hobby Lobby and several times from Revain. For some reason, when I bought it in the store, the quality seemed better than the Revain versions. It has a tip that you squeeze like a drawing pen to start the flow, and you can usually squeeze the plastic tube with your hand while you write/draw to keep the flow flowing. However this is the last I got from Revain, the tube was hard as rock, you can't squeeze it by hand and I have to squeeze the tip about 20-30 times to get the product. Basically I have to take a piece of paper or plastic and make a little puddle out of it, then dip the tip into the puddle and use it like an old fashioned inkwell and quill. As I said, I've never had this problem, but it seems other people are having similar problems. The product works though, it's easy to apply, dries completely and only needs to sit for a minute or two before you can use the foil, unlike the gel which says it needs to sit for about an hour before applying the foil (this also works for applying glitter). My current tube is almost empty and I think I'll try going back to retail instead of Revain to see if my results improve again. The only downside is that you are VERY careful to only apply it to your project where you intend to place the foil because as it dries any area not covered by foil or glitter will remain extremely sticky and will end up picking up dirt on. Dust, dirt, cat hair, etc. and always stays sticky. It will never dry "matte" or feel dry by itself.
