I bought this cable to connect to my new monitor and computer. Everything worked fine for two months, and then suddenly while using it, my monitor turned out to be dead. My first thought was that it was the monitor, but when I swapped two of my monitors, the non-working one was swapped out. My next thought was the graphics card, it's a new graphics card, but trying to switch the display port cable to using the motherboard video confirmed it was a dead cable. I may not have expected much from a sub-$10 cable, but I also don't expect cables to die quickly after less than two months of use. Rather spend a little more money and buy a higher quality cable. This will save you headaches in the future.
