Great retro style towels perfect for hand embroidery so I bought them. They are similar to the towels that were once sold in stores 5 and 10, except they didn't have a loop for hanging back then. I know there will be some shrinkage and maybe even a little color, but that makes them very authentic. It was exactly what I was looking for to hand embroider towels for the seven days of the week. If you line dry them, they don't need to be ironed. As a child, I learned to iron these types of towels. You can take them out of the dryer a little damp and don't have to iron them. Flatten them as you fold them. They become very absorbent after a few washes. You must wash them before using. Remember this is a budget friendly towel that has so many uses in the kitchen. It will not preform like a towel with lots of threads.
