When first trying to use this camera with OBS on MacBook Air 2020, footage has flickering green lines and image stuttering. I think it could be a defective USB cable that came with the product. Image quality is similar to a laptop camera, maybe a little better, but not as good as a cell phone camera. I could return that and buy an old unlocked iPhone off eBay and try using it as a dedicated webcam instead. It would be nice if Apple put the iPhone cameras in the MacBook. Update: I used a different USB-C to USB-C cable connected directly to the laptop and got the same flickering green lines when recording into OBS on a 2020 MacBook Air. Can't use this for my workflow which only records the webcam and captures the desktop tables in the OBS. Will be returned. Second update: It can only be because of my settings that the green lines are flickering. I updated OBS, switched Facecam to 1080p at 30 fps, changed the downscale filter in OBS to Bicubic and changed the FPS to 29.97 overall and got much better results. Now I'm thinking about leaving this facecam. It's easier and more convenient than setting up a DSLR as a webcam.
