Perfect. My son, who is 7, wanted this hat for Dr. Seuss Day at his school. I was worried it would be to big, but it fit him perfectly with some room to grow. So, I would say the hat would fit a child or adult. It arrived on time, very quickly, and just in time. Since this was something my son just wanted, I told him I would pay half and asked him to make a $10 donation to a charity of his choosing. He chose St. Jude. I think this is a nice way to teach children about donating/helping, and to also be rewarded for their good deeds.
