DO NOT buy this for your aquarium.

people. no I've had aquariums since I was a kid, I currently have an 80 gallon saltwater reef tank, have been doing it for a long time and have seen a lot. I've never seen sand like this before. You have absolutely no right to sell it as aquarium sand. I bought this sand to build a pasture like aquarium for a friend. It was the only green sand (grassy) I could find that said 'for the aquarium'. The particle size on it is like that of a powder. He immediately grabs the air and rises. For example, I had a 2 inch layer of sandy foam on the water surface that took me quite a while to figure out how to get rid of. (Towel, take the sand and use it to squeeze the air out from under the water. Make sure it's a garbage towel because it will get dirty.) Every time you pour the water back into the tank, it has to be done slowly , otherwise you will just make more sand foam. also at the bottom. The color is nice green, just like my water. I've worked with a lot of sand over the years, this settles throughout the day. It made the water nice and green and I tried to keep it a decent shade of green for three days. Since then I have filled, stirred and emptied hoping to remove the tiniest grain of sand/paint hoping to save the $40 I spent on Β£10. I've filled and emptied this tank about 8 times now, it sucks. All in all, it's an absolutely horrible thing. I almost never leave written reviews of things, but I just couldn't let anyone else spend their money on them. It should not be sold as aquarium sand and I see virtually no suitable water conditions in which it would work well. The photos show the aquarium after I left for the day and the wonderful sand foam that will keep you busy for hours.
