Review on πŸ”’ Efficient FRAM Extra Guard Engine Air Filter Replacement for Mazda (2.0L & 2.5L) - Easy Installation, Advanced Engine Protection, Optimal Performance - CA11259 by Bob Boan

fits well Mazda3 2017, good finish

Exact fit and easy replacement on my 2017 Mazda 3 Touring (Japanese version). Build quality and thickness appear to be the same or better than the OEM version. For beginners, yes, replacing the engine air filter is under the hood and your hands will be dirty. But Mazda has made it very easy - nothing needs to be removed, there are no loose screws or other parts. Watch the video and you can get it done in less than 15 minutes (it took me about 5). Not bad for saving a lot of money at the dealer. Shown with OEM parts after 2 years of Mid-Atlantic use (average mileage). Shown front and back. Note that the pollution level was definitely up for replacement, although Mazda says the filter can last up to 3 years / 36,000 miles. At third-party prices, an annual replacement of the air filter is worthwhile. There are some cheaper options than FRAM, but I've found that others don't have the full screen design that FRAM and the OEM filter have. Because the filter is under pressure all the time, it needs to be durable. I have also had good experiences with FRAM air filters on my previous vehicles. If you're even a little savvy, this is a do-it-yourself car maintenance item that you can do yourself. highlighted.
