I have a 70 pound husky who likes to stand on the windowsill and look out the window. I wanted to protect my doors from claw damage. The material of this product is durable to prevent scratches. A few points to be aware of: - If you use the snap clips to attach them by sliding them down between the window and door panel (as intended), the clips attach with velcro. If the dog jumps off, it will most likely pull on the material and separate the velcro from the clips. The clips will then fall into the door panel, good luck! Also, a big disappointment is that you can't use the clips if you want to lower the window. geniuses! What dog wouldn't want to be by a window that doesn't open? Clips should not use Velcro, but should be permanently attached to the material and open the window! Another option is Velcro straps, which attach the material to the door panel instead of clips. Whoever came up with this has never put sticky products on the upholstery of a car. The velcro does not hold well when stuck onto a rubberized door/dash panel, especially in cold weather. Half of the velcro came loose while my car was outside in 30 degree weather. When attached to the door, the material covers the door handles and power windows. So when my kids are in the car, I either have to remove the material or open the doors for them from the outside. Good idea, but poorly implemented. I need to make some adjustments and cut the material to fit my door so the rear passengers can reach the door handles to open the door from the inside.
