This angle finder ruler is a cool toy. I wouldn't use it in a professional project where getting an accurate angle is very important. Simply insert the supplied battery and get started. However, it's difficult to get the exact angle I want and then maintain that angle as I draw the lines. I also have to zero it frequently, which makes me wonder how accurate my angle is. If I pull out my protractor anyway, what's the point? Since exact angles aren't critical to my work, I can use this as a quick and easy way to create roughly exact angles. However, I'm disappointed that the mother who holds the rulers in place while drawing doesn't hold them in place properly.
