I couldn't process potatoes myself, my husband had to spin, and the design is strange, the pusher doesn't swing in by itself, you have to put it over the cup place by bending it the first time, we also used stickers on a mashed potato plate and popped out but made fluffy potatoes, not lumps, I think getting one with that button or the protrusion on the back would make this possible more force to crush the product, I am short in stature, so leverage may be difficult, cup size is good, we made 5 pounds of potatoes, easy to peel, slice sizes are good choices
