I want to say I'm glad there is a product similar to the original GE MWF filter and basically I can get three for the price of 1. To be honest, I'm very sensitive when it comes to the five senses. However, the original GE filter makes the water taste better. You must be wondering how does water taste with these compatible filters? It tastes good, but not as good as a GE filter. Separately, it's worth noting that the water should be tasteless, odorless, colorless, etc. etc., and that's what we've all been taught. However, cold Himalayan spring water (I've tried it) actually tastes much better than bottled Colorado or Andean spring water, for example. So I suspect that the mineral and groundwater composition has led to a change in the taste element of the water over the last few decades and with it the need for filters. In short, these compatible filters are good and do the job, but they're not as good as the original, more expensive GE filters. If you can pay more go to GE, if price is important then stick with them!
