They cut really well!
I was skeptical about getting replacement 45mm disc blades. A few days later, however, I was struck by their ability to cut through decorative rugs. The rug was about 1/2 inch thick and I tried my best to cut it open so I could put it in the trash can along with the rug that was underneath. I happened to see spare 45mm blades lying on the counter and thought I might lose the try. It took me less than 20 minutes to cut the 5ft x 7ft rug and padding underneath. They also pierce the fabric. I definitely recommend it.
