This charger quickly charges 1 or both batteries. I plugged it into a USB port in the kitchen and it was ready in about an hour. I have 4 fully charged batteries ready to go. Just waiting for the Xbox branded controller to arrive for testing. I will update. It comes with a cable to connect to the charger, it is a micro USB connection to the charger. It wasn't easy to connect and I had a feeling it was about to break. I'll never turn it off, just off the wall. And yes, I connected it correctly. The charged batteries last almost 2 full days, so good batteries!
