PROS & CONS vs UGGS

I've been a long-long time UGGS wearer, but of late, the price has given me pause.Because I needed/wanted a pair of "cold weather" casual/slippers primarily at home, these WaySofts intrigued me at more than half the price for the same style UGGS.I find that the boot appearance is pretty much the same (to my eye) and I like that there is NO advertising/label on the back heel section. Stitching looks the same, the sole appears to be about the same thickness, and both have black sheepskin inside all, but the very bottom. The sheepskin on the very bottom (where your foot sits) is undyed. I found that the WaySoft inner-sole-sheepskin is not as plush as the UGGS and it breaks down pretty quickly. However, since I add a supportive insole, this is not a problem for me.but if you're wanting "au naturale".this might be a consideration (also depending how much you wear these). For basically, an "at home" slipper - I'm okay with this difference.I wear an "8" in UGGS and 8.5 in my athletic shoes. WaySoft doesn't offer half-sizes, so I got the "8". It is a bit more snug (than the UGGS), but also like the UGGS, I trust that the suede will "give some". I also typically wear socks with my UGGS, but adding socks with the WaySoft in the breaking-in period is too tight. (If I were getting an everyday-out boot, I might try the size 9 as I prefer wearing socks)Likely, because the WaySofts are new.it's a bit of a struggle to get the second boot off (I use the boot-toe on the back of the heel to remove the first boot). I'm hoping that as wear continues, this becomes easier. The black dye of the sheepskin inside DOES bleed onto skin or socks with the WaySoft. Something I don't recall experiencing with my UGGS. And, I'm guessing that this will not be an ongoing factor with time. The inner sheepskin on the WaySoft feels a bit more rough than the UGGS. The WaySoft do a great job in warming my feet (a plus!) (which is why I opted NOT to get the Koolaruoo boot which is a combo of natural/synthetic sheepskin lining)Because these are for "at home", I'm happy to pay far less $ for the WaySoft boot for an attractive, new, home-boot for this winter (and beyond, I hope).
