I bought a ton of wool blend from two different companies. When I opened this package I was blown away by the silky feel. I don't usually like the feel of felt, but it's so delicious I can't stop petting it. Every time I walk past I have to touch it. I read another review that said the shine makes it "useless". Yes there is a soft sheen, but I think it's great and it works great for a children's book that I'm making. The colors are great! There is really something special about this particular material and the funny thing is that I had a hard time ordering from this company. I LOVE THIS VOYLO! On the other hand, frankly, it's so delicate that it's difficult to work with. I use the Sulky Sticky Fabri Solvi to transfer the pattern and cut out the pieces. Solvi dissolves in water, but I don't want to constantly wet the remaining pieces to remove excess Solvi after I cut the piece. If I want to remove some excess Solvi from the remaining piece of felt, the smaller pieces of felt just come off with it. The same thing happens with all the wool blend felts I've bought from any retailer. I cannot recommend this product enough. It's LUXURIOUS!
