Losing indexes, disconnecting from your computer, what's not to hate?

I'm a digital artist so I upload and download a lot of data from a drive like this and one of the things I noticed early on was that it wasn't indexing properly and although see the program I was using could files, Windows was not. Then I noticed that although both connections are strong, the laptop I'm using keeps dropping connection making it completely unreliable and very frustrating. I will try to return.
