After trying a few baby mirrors I decided to give this one a try. I attached the mirror to the suction cup to the right of the main rear view mirror. The optical quality is pretty good for a plastic mirror, has a strong convex curvature that offers a wide field of view, but distorts the image and makes the rear seat appear rather small. I would probably avoid this if you had a van or something with significant front-to-back seat pitch. The biggest weakness of this mirror is the suction cup mount. The plastic used for the mug isn't very pliable or heat resistant, so I still have to tape it to the glass in the morning when the temperature is below 40F. Also, the bracket that connects the mirror to the suction cup is molded into the cup, making it difficult to assemble and reassemble if dropped. Overall I would recommend the CIPA Suction Cup Marine Mirror. It's huge, durable and works well in our other car.
