Review on Convenient 20 Sets of 17mm Copper Tack Buttons Replacement Kit with Rivets and Metal Base in Plastic Storage Box by Shantel Griffin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Holds up well over multiple pants and shorts.

They suit me. Apparently my waist has grown a little which has caused a few buttons on my shorts and jeans to come undone. I ordered these to replace the buttons on this outfit as I didn't want to spend money to replace them. I've installed the new buttons slightly outside of their original button positions (to make them fit a bit more in the hole) and none have exploded yet. They are easy to hold and almost give the impression of cheap goods. However, they withstood the "high pressure" task of holding my pants together and showed no signs of rusting or breaking after a few wears and washes. They're pretty easy to install: I pierced the material with my finger on the side of the pin, placed the big side with the buttons on the concrete, lined up the pin with the hole on the big side, and hammered in. The fabric held the side of the needle in such a way that no finger was at risk. They sell build tools if you like it, but I don't think a tool is needed. Additionally, the pack includes both bronze and silver colors to cover a variety of clothing styles and colors. If you need new buttons, they will get the job done. I would recommend, especially for the price.

Pros
  • EASY TO INSTALL: Very easy to replace broken buttons on jeans. Insert the rivet and button by hand with your fingers, pressing a notch or two together. Then squeeze with pliers to fully install the rivet.
Cons
  • Not sure
