bought 3 of these for our 3 giant cat litter which started giving off a smell that reminds me of wet diapers after we switched to clumping microcrystalline cat litter is not sticky so good if you have multiple cats and the litter never has time to stick together, it just sort of sticks together! This scoop is great for scooping up all those tiny pee beads that a regular scoop can't catch. When using microcrystals or granular litter made from clumps and seals, larger granular litter will not fit through this scoop. However, it takes longer because you have to keep shaking it like you're panning for gold! However, the extra time it took to clean the boxes today was well worth it, the litter boxes now have a very faint stray odor that you can only smell when scooping out, so that's a plus. in the rounded edges of kitty litter, and it's not good for scooping the side of drawers either, but I was able to easily partially flatten and round the top just by using scissors and now the scoop is perfect for our needs. Update: We trimmed all of the surface off the raised sides and added metal edges to all of these paddles. We love how easily this shovel can be customized to our needs. now I mostly scoop boxes with it instead of first scooping with a regular shovel and then sifting with it. I would definitely like to add that this sifter also works with the Sofresh seedbed which we are also using now.
