Something subtle, basic. and too big or too small

Thin, regular. and too big or too small. If I had gone for the middle one we couldn't have gotten a warm layer underneath or their binding. I chose Large and it's too big even with layers. The strap that goes around the chest is too low. It would be mad. This is a thinner jacket, so Dewey Lewis has to wear it with pajamas or a sweater underneath. I may have to leave the larger one and figure out how to change it.
