it holds the puzzle enough to put it together. I watch the video but I don't think I did it perfectly. I think over time I'll get used to it. Clearing the kitchen table so we could eat on it and then open the puzzle and work on it until the wee hours really helped. I would like to announce that we closed the puzzle at the beginning of summer. We left the house on the beach and couldn't solve the riddle. We only reopened it in December and it was perfect. We had no trouble straightening it out and everything stayed in place which I found quite surprising considering the jigsaw had been sitting for almost 6 months.
