It would probably be nice if you could make it work. I spent hours over several days setting it up. First, I just couldn't get it to work on my Android phone. Please note that you cannot set up the system without connecting it from a wireless device such as a phone or tablet. While I was able to connect my phone to the MyLink wireless network, that was all I could do. The app just never allowed me to access the device so I could connect it to my wifi. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app many times, clearing the app cache, and even going so far as to update my phone from Android 7.1 to 8.1. Nothing worked. Luckily I found an old Android tablet in my apartment and was able to connect the tablet to MyLink and even to my WiFi. At this point, the app prompted me to update the firmware on the MyLink device. The device installs the firmware (it took a few minutes), after that I have to physically disconnect it, wait 5 seconds, reconnect for 5 seconds, disconnect again for 5 seconds, reconnect and wait for the LED to turn green indicating that device is up to date. After doing this 5-6 times I gave up for the night. The next day I saw that the device was still not up to date and the app would no longer allow me to connect to it. I then had to reset everything (app and device) and start over. This time I managed to get it working. The next step was to add a controller to the application so that it can control the blinds. This process was also very slow, but after several attempts and application errors, I was able to connect the controller. Big! Unfortunately, there was a 30-60 second delay between pressing the button on the app and the curtains starting to move. I tried restarting the app and tablet but the lag persisted. In this condition it was practically unusable. Imagine you push a button to close the blinds and then wait 30 to 60 seconds before they move. Not good. The good news was that I was able to connect the device to Alexa and somehow Alexa responded to my voice commands very quickly. OK, that was progress. Maybe I could live with that. So I decided to add three more wireless controllers to my system. nope Impossible to do. The app just crashed every time I tried. I went back to my phone thinking that even if the phone wasn't working, maybe I could join the existing system to set up the system. nope In theory, all I had to do was add a four-digit code to the application that identified my system. It was impossible. The keyboard never shows up. I tried changing the keyboard on the phone. Nothing yet. In the end, the app was simply forcibly closed. Tried reboot, reinstall, clear cache, still nothing. Can't get it to work. There is potential here, but as it stands the app and system just aren't mature and mature. At best, it looks more like pre-beta software. If you can get it to work, then great. But unless you want to spend hours battling the app and system, I wouldn't bother.
