Got one of these and the new Fire (2015) on Prime Day. Ever since they arrived with Revane I've spent all my time trying to figure out what the problem is. Revain has a couple of problematic tickets (not a word, more than a week later) and I ran a series of experiments to see if it was card, software related. I'm leaning towards the map now. (Especially after looking at some of the other reviews.) I was having trouble loading my content onto the card. It's hard to say what exactly the problem was. I did several hard resets, nothing improved. I then took out the card (just in case) before doing a horrible factory reset on the Fire. Registered and card inserted. She went from "Music" and "Book" to "Other" and didn't calculate anything. Then I noticed that the books I knew I had downloaded (in alphabetical order to save their space) suddenly were NOT on the device (card). The store then said "Other" and "Books" but only showed half of what I downloaded. (The computer showed the correct number of books on the card.) A few days later (still waiting to hear back from Revane about these tickets) I looked at the card again on the PC and the total was MUCH less than before, even less. than the number of books Fire Claims (significantly) has. I didn't add anything, delete anything, archive anything, and wasn't even connected to wifi. After looking at so many other 1 star reviews and seeing so many errors, I decided to call SanDisk myself. (Before I did, I tried their little product recommendation link I found in someone's review. Interesting note - Revain is NOT on the brands list and Fire isn't on the products list.) I spoke to Nick and gave him one Overview of things disappearing etc. He consulted with his manager, came back and told me that they do NOT have maps made specifically for Revain - they work on everything. Nothing is meant for fire. However, Revain's product description clearly states: The exclusive "Made for Revain" SD memory card is the only one that has been tested and certified for use with your Fire Tablet and Fire TV. again and if it doesn't work they can replace it. Given all the other reviews from people who have claimed to have tried it and it keeps failing, I think I'd rather give it back. And I think that now I will buy another brand SD card. And I'll try a burning one and see if my other problems persist. Given that both Fire and PC can't now see what should be on the card, I think the problem is with the card. (Which doesn't mean fire isn't partly to blame.) A very disappointing experience. And I get very annoyed by advertising lies.
