I bought these wipes to replace disposable wipes, thinking they were more environmentally friendly. They are double-sided: one, like a terry towel; the other, smoother, more like a short terry cloth pile. The "soft” side also looks too rough for the eye area. In addition, eye make-up, especially mascara, does not wash out of the pads. The mesh laundry bag that comes with these pads is so small that it's unusable. I put the dirty pads in a larger mesh bag and washed them on the gentle cycle in lukewarm water with detergent and Oxy Clean. Twice. Most of them still have black spots. I definitely DO NOT recommend this product.
